An Extraordinary Opportunity to Own a Masterpiece with a Purpose
On Sunday, November 1st, 2026, at 9:00 AM Central Time, bidding officially opens on a truly remarkable, one-of-a-kind original Common Loon sculpture.
This is more than an auction—it is a chance to secure a legacy piece of original wildfowl art for your private collection. 100% of the proceeds from this exclusive piece will directly benefit The National Loon Center in Crosslake, supporting the construction of their multi-million dollar, state-of-the-art facility.
This landmark center will serve as the permanent home for my premier installation, The Common Loon Family, dedicated to teaching the world how to live in perfect harmony with these iconic birds. By participating in this auction, your bid directly fuels vital wildlife conservation and public awareness.
Fine art is a lifetime investment, but a piece that builds a sanctuary is an enduring legacy.
This miniature Common Loon in Flight is sculpted from a single piece of tupelo wood and hand painted with acrylic paint. It is mounted on a butternut wood base, using a clear acrylic rod. It is signed by the artist Laurie J McNeil, and inscribed with her insignia using a wood burner. This is number two of two Common Loon in Flight pieces Laurie carved for donation, to raise funds for the National Loon Center, in Crosslake, Minnesota. Here’s a chance to own a one-piece Common Loon by Laurie J. McNeil aka the LoonLady.
